MachShip at Supply Chain Week 2026

Supply Chain Week 2026 was an opportunity for supply chain professionals from across Australia to come together, share insights and discuss the issues shaping the industry.

For the MachShip team, it was an opportunity to meet with customers, connect with industry peers and share findings from our Freightability Report 2026. It was also a chance to bring some of those findings to the stage, with MachShip CEO Sam Rowse speaking about the factors shaping freight decisions for Australian businesses.

Sam Rowse on freight reliability, cost and capacity

MachShip CEO Sam Rowse took to the Supply Chain Week stage to unpack key findings from the Freightability Report 2026.

Drawing on freight data from across Australia and NewZealand, Sam spoke about how reliability, cost and capacity can vary across carriers, modes and corridors, and what that means for businesses managing their freight.

One of the key ideas from the session was the shift from managing freight to orchestrating it.

As freight networks become more complex, businesses have more factors to consider when deciding how their freight should move. The carrier that works well for one lane may not be the right choice for another, while cost, capacity and service levels can all change over time.

Having a clearer view of what is happening across the network makes it easier to make those decisions and respond when things change.

We explored this idea in more detail in our recent Supply Chain Channel article:

Connecting with the industry at Supply Chain Week

Beyond the keynote, the MachShip team spent the event meeting with customers, industry peers and supply chain professionals at Stand17.

The conversations covered a range of topics, from freight management and carrier performance to the practical challenges businesses face when managing multiple carriers and services.

Thank you to everyone who visited Stand 17, took thetime to speak with our team or joined Sam’s keynote.

We look forward to continuing these conversations at MEGATRANS2026.
